3M Visual Attention Software 
When I joined the 3M Visual Attention Software team the app was not intuitive or easy to use. With the help of of our design research team I successfully created several major design updates based on user feedback. This resulted in an improved user experience that increased the app's subscription rate and profitability by 41% year over year. These improvements included removing barriers to subscription, a more useful onboarding experience and providing more intuitive visual data reports to help users improve their designs.
In 2022 the design team won a 14th Annual Media Excellence Award for Best Creative & Design for the VAS website, app and plugins.

I collaborated with a UX Research expert to conduct moderated user testing within the existing app experience. I leveraged qualitative feedback and recommendations to design incremental changes aligned to business goals while addressing user needs.

From the usability testing we discovered several opportunities to make the user experience better. Based on this feedback, design improvements were made to address the top priority concerns. 
We created outcomes and metrics for the following 4 user goals:
• Goal #1 - Providing clarity to the data reports and information
• Goal #2 - Helping users to improve and refine their designs
• Goal #3 - Guidance and tips on how to effectively use the app
• Goal #4 - Removing barriers to subscription

Results

The design improvements to the user onboarding and paths to subscription increased the number of subscriptions by 4X daily. This significantly improved the conversion rate from free trail to paid subscription. 
These UX design improvements along with the addition of the VAS Adobe plugins increased product sales 42% year over year.
Other Updates - Adobe Plugins
Leading the design team on this effort, I created easy to use plugins for Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and XD. My design methods included design research, agile design techniques for testing & refining key interactions, utilizing Adobe's Design Guidelines for plugins and creating designs using the Adobe Spectrum UXP Design Pattern Library. The team adjusted layouts and user flows to meet MVP requirements for the first phase of the app release. We then prioritized features as we did more user testing to inform the roadmap making improvements in subsequent releases.​​​​​​​
